I used the rice cooker to cook my rice, but it's still a tad hard?

What do I do? I want to make it a bit softer because it's a very bit crunchy still...I want to serve it to a bbq tomorrow :(
I did! But I guess nto enough :(

In the future, WASH the rice first: that is, rinse and strain or drain two or three time. This takes some of the starch out. The oil at the bottom of the pot is not a bad idea.

For now, add some chicken broth with a tablespoon of butter or oil or margarine. Put enough of the broth to cover the bottom of a saucepan, then add your already under-cooked rice. Turn the flame on. Keep adding the rice and stir often, not letting the rice burn, till you like the consistency.

Put the already cooked rice in a pot add 1/4 cup water and 1 tbsp oil or margarine and cover with a lid, cook on the lowest setting for about 5 minutes and check to see if the water has softened your rice and been absorbed. You may need to add a little more water and check again. This should make it soft and steam it just enough, and to your liking.
