I can't help but wonder at atheists who are threatened by your desire to change. Would they also buy a beer for someone who wanted to quit drinking? Give a syringe to an ex heroin addict? Sad.

There are no steps. If you have accepted Him then you are in His will. He will begin to work with you. If you have not been baptized this is probably one of the first things He will put on your heart.

(anthony from above is not an example of a Christian. Christian are not to heap insults on others.
 
The first thing you must realize in order to accept Christ, is that you want to make it a public confession...that He is Lord and Master of your life. In order to do this, you need to find a Bible-believing church in your community/town or city. When the alter call is made at the end of the sermon, go to the alter at the front of the church, get down on your knees, and say to God in no uncertain terms ... Father God, I realize I am a sinner in needs of your saving grace, I repent now of my sin and make a commitment to follow You all the days of my life.

You are now washed in the blood of the Lamb, and are beginning a new life, as you are a new creation in Christ Jesus. You were once of the first Adam which born sin, but now you are under the New Adam, Jesus Christ. You are born again, as Jesus told Nicodemus in the Garden of Gethsemane "The wind blows as it will, ye know not which it comes or where it goeth, so it is with a man, he must be born-again" ... Born anew, my friend, into the family of the Living God. Read and study your Bible to see how God can use you, and how you must walk in His light in order to follow Him. What an amazing God we serve!!

Clearly, you were never an atheist. That's like saying I used to not believe in Unicorns but now I've accepted them into my life. That's just a silly thing to say.
 
Go to church and talk to The Lord everyday through praying. Don't listen to these stupid Atheists they are just upset because The Lord cursed them with a small penis and smaller brain!

Do not ever let anyone make you feel down for their negative views on Someone they do not know. Never. Life does not get easier as a Christian. It gets harder because now that you trust God, the great liar (aka Satan) is going to throw down his gloves and throw it all at you to make you turn from Jesus as you once were.
