I want a pet that is easy to take care of :)?

My friend wants a pet really bad. She is 8, but her mom is allergic to fur and feathers so no hamster, guinea pigs...ect.. and birds...etc.. She lives in a condo so no dogs and or birds and since her mom is allergic. She wants a pet that is somewhat easy to take care of but NO FISH. She would also prefer it to be about a foot maybe a little bigger like 2 inches but no bigger than that!!! But she would rather have a pet that is smaller than a foot, no snakes! or animals that have a history of biting. Thank you for answering in advance i will tell you what pet she got in the future.
