I want to buy a Douglas DC-3 or DC-6? HELP?

I have always wanted to own one of these beautiful majestic aircraft. I understand that buying a DC-3 or DC-6 in mint condition is not going to be possible both for financial reasons and because of the age of these aircraft but restoring one would be a fantastic project. I have mainly been searching for salvage yards ect. but whenever i have tried to find a way to purchase one I hit a dead end. Can anyone help me please? Thank You
