I want to know is high school baseball practice hard?

Since i missed out on football i wanna do baseball for high school. im a freshman and i wanna know if its going to be hard. because A) i suck. B). never done baseball ever. its the winter now so i have until spring to play please someone help and if anybody know how i can practice to get better please tell me.
