Ive always been interested in Sherlock Holmes stories ever since i was a kid, but i never actually read the stories and i want to pick up a book now. Ive found list of short stories but i dont know where to start. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
If it were me, I'd look him up on Google and Wikipedia to find a chronological list of his writings. I'd start with the first one and attempt to continue to find and read his writings in chronological order. That will give you insight into how he refined his skills as a writer over time.
That's my usual technique, starting with Edgar Allan Poe like 20 years ago.
