...question too)? Hey guys, i'm 19 years of age and live in Wales, recently I have been getting into a lot of MMA and sports competitions such and collegiate wrestling, jujitsu, BJJ tournaments, and so on.

Since I have been watching these tournaments and studying the theory, i've been wanting to put it into practice, I have already stopped smoking, joined a gym, started working out, all to try and become healthy enough to join a competition.

Thing is, there are a few things that are bothering me, number one, I know many people whom have been doing martial arts since they were very you, and i'm 19 and have no experience whatsoever in martial arts, and so when I hear people telling me they were a black belt by the age of 18-19, I start to think that being 19, I would be starting WAY TOO LATE.

Even if I was to start, I would absolutely want to train in BJJ, I would love to study the type of things that Eddie Bravo teaches, but I live in Wales, not really a country that teaches that sort of thing.

So my question is, what should I do, am I too old to start martial arts, am I too old to start training MMA or any other competitive combat sport? And how the hell do I manage to find a gym that does the 10th Planet Jujistu that I really want to study? And what makes normal Jujistu so different, is it the use of the rubber guard? Because that is something that I really want to study in depth.
