the works office.? i dont want to be forced to spend my break where the management are, i want to go and relax on my own, can i be forced to, as its unpaid.

its unpaid during that time your free to do what you want ( supposedly )- just kindly ask why do we have to spend unpaid lunch break at work offices.

Not legal.

The Federal labor law on this subject is clear and unambiguous. If your employer tells you where to be during your lunch break, then you are "subject to the direction of the employer", and therefore still on the clock.

If you are in a State, such as California, where there is a legal obligation on an employer to provide an unpaid lunch break, then the employer has to pay you your wages for the 30 minute lunch, AND the penalty for not giving you a break. If you are in a State where lunch breaks are not required, then he just has to pay you for your time.

Ask why?
It is their property so they can tell you where you can be.
You should be free to leave their property and eat lunch where you are comfortable like in your car.

No. You are free to get a different job. They can't force you keep working for them and following their rules.
