so i'm a 'catholic' person not exactly by choice. i was raised in a catholic household, but i find myself drifting farther and farther apart from the catholic beliefs. my mother has told me that it's totally my own decision what religion i'd like to be. i've had a handful of people call me atheist and i know i am not. i believe in a higher being, i suppose, but i don't know what else. i feel as though Catholicism has the basics of what i believe in, but as far as church and gays and abortion and all that i'm not sure i can agree
i'm wondering if anyone out there has a website (or just a vast knowledge of info) that could explain to me what the basic guidelines are for as many religions as possible. information like: what higher being do they believe in, what does a "mass" (or whatever it's called) consist of, what are their beliefs on abortion, homosexuals, marriage, etc.
i don't know what i'm really looking for - enlighten me?
