Okay well I have been thinking lately about writing a story and I have a basic idea, plot, setting, back story, and etc. Well I was just wondering what the community thinks. My family think's its pretty good but I can't be entirely sure if they are saying that as family or as their real opinion.
The title of it is going to be Paradise. Which is ironic as they get into it because '' Paradise '' turns out to be the largest slave / death camp at this time. The story takes place in a world where if when the U.S was being formed it became an Aristocracy or a Monarchy instead of a federal republic. This new country ( still attempting to think of a good name for it ) is one of the worlds largest super powers controlling both Americas and some of Europe. It all takes place in a slave / death camp called Paradise in the present day U.S border with Canada where the camp is. The camp is mainly focused on cutting lumber, mining, and creating tools for war. The main character, Joshua, and his father, William, are slaves at Paradise. They want to create a revolt or revolution within the camp and overthrow it and the wardens. I mind you that this is basically the Auschwitz of this time period where horrific things, experiments, and people are all around. They want to be free and flee to the EU whom is allied with other world superpowers and guarantee their safety. They also want to take most of the camps slaves with them to because they believe everyone deserves and equal chance at freedom. Especially their fellow slaves.
Does this sound like a good idea? A decent one? Horrible? Anything I should fix or add into there before I start on the first chapters? Please provide good constructive criticism any type is welcome!!!
