Michael wakes up, not remembering any of his memories. He remembers basic skills such as speech, and other everyday things, but he can’t remember a single thing from his past. He wakes up in a jail like cell, with one other person. He knows not whether it is day or night, since there is no natural light. He asks the other person how he got there, who he is, and who the other person is. The strange man tells him that he remembers just as much as he does, but he is planning an escape from the cell. The two escape the cell, and find a large sum of money on the way out. They find out they are in Detroit and they decide sticking together is their best chance of survival. They do not know their names, and decide on being called Bill and Jim.

Michael owes money to a loan shark, Navin. He get’s his thugs, Nelson and kieth, to go and rough him up.
Old job: Police officer. It was suspected that he was stealing evidence and selling it for extra money, and when he disappeared they believed this to be true. However, it was actually his partner, Joe, who was the corrupt cop. The money he makes from selling stolen evidence he gives to Navin the loan shark. Gary, the man who was with Michael, is also a thug for the loan shark.
The two of them (Gary and Michael) were kidnapped and experimented on. The two of them have been given superpowers (unkown to them) artificially. They both have different powers, and are on the same side. They will create a crime fighting duo by the end of the story
michael is meant to be a nice guy who just gets caught up in some trouble
And gary was a bad guy but since he lost his memory and met michael he has been mostly good. He is a little rough though and isn't as kindhearted.
