...passiveness? I really need some male perspectives on this question. I've often wondered if I missed an opportunity with a guy whom I liked because I didn't make a move. But then there were plenty of times when I did make the move and was rejected. I am pretty shy myself so I rarely go up to a guy and initiate conversation or express my true feelings with someone I like, and the times I have I was rejected. I believe I'm an attractive person, but lacking in confidence. I have decided I won't be initiating anything anymore, besides ...if a guy (acquaintance/friend/etc.) realllllly" likes you or is quite interested, he'll let you know/make a move? ..right?? ...even if he is shy or passive? Is it better for a girl to be patient and wait for the guy to make the move, or better to express how you really feel?
 
Denise <--- not a guy, but I do have an opinion about this subject. A guy who is romantically interested in a girl/female WILL let that girl/female know in NO uncertain terms of his interest. Guys who are interested in a solid, long-term relationship make the first move. You are correct in allowing that as opposed to making the first move yourself. You will have time to express how you really feel when you are in the relationship. Let the guy take the initiative. It is a time-proven fact: no guy is so shy he will not go after a young lady if he is truly and deeply interested in her.

I'm a shy guy, and I think it depends. If he's is a situation where asking you out seems natural, he probably will, but that could take a good long time. I don't know that you need to straight up tell him how you feel, but make a point of commenting on how you like seeing him, especially in cases where you've been just with him. Basically, just make him feel like he's not going to get shot down if he asks you out or shares his feelings with you.
