If a man accepts his wife and forgives her after she has a one-night stand with another man is he looked at as being stupid and laughed at? Do people who say they support him actually laugh about him behind his back?
 
If your accepting your wife back after she cheated on you then I believe that makes you a bigger person than she could ever be. I wouldn't ever laugh at someone in this situation. It sounds painful. It's easy to laugh at something like this when your not the one going through it. Who cares what anyone else thinks. If you want to save your marriage than do it! But if it happens again. That's when it's time to leave! Somehow, I think your wife cheating on you means she doesn't love you as much as she should. Letting some man have sex with her when she is married?? One word... slut.
 
The man is very courageous. No one would laugh at him, he truly loves his wife. I commend him for being patient with her. Once the trust have been broken it would be very hard for the wife to win his trust. Hopefully they both will get into counseling and work on their relationship.
 
Once a cheater , always a cheater. Once trust is lost, it is lost forever. how can he ever trust her again. or still love her.

stay faraway from cheaters.
by the way statistically more women cheat on their husbands than
husbands cheat on their wives. women expect performance, bring in money and delight her in bed.
when he cannot do both, she will cheat.

when a woman cheats on her husband. he will not tell a soul,
he keeps it to himself with no support from any one. if it is found out that his wife cheated . everyone will wonder what was wrong with him

If a man would cheat on his wife. she will tell the whole world what a bastard he is and will get all sorts of emotional support from everyone
 
Who cares?
If he wants her back, he should take her back. To hell with the opinions of others.
 
Such a man would certainly be the target of much laughter and derision. You should consider yourself lucky if it is only behind your back. I would make fun of such a worthless excuse for a man right to his broken, hollow eyes.
 
A man who accepts his wife back is a sentimental, pitiful, love sick fool.
It does not matter what "she" says, if she did it once she will do it again.
If she had a one night stand she is already telling her husband that she wants more than him.

Some men are so involved with appearances, hopes for resolution, dreams for a perfect life and lack so much self-confidence they are willing to forgive almost anything. He is making a giant mistake.

I guarantee you the next time he calls her and she does not answer, if she is late for an appointment, if she goes out with the girls for a drink, or any number of reasons, he's always going to ask himself, is she screwing somebody else.

I know, believe me, because I forgave my ex-wife and it was the worst thing I ever did. I did it because I didn't want to loose my daughter. The marriage only lasted another 2 years before she was screwing other guys again.
 
I suppose anything is possible but who cares? It's your life. Who cares what they think?
 
The only ones that were laughing at him were the ones doing the cheating.
Now they are sorry.
Just point out that if it happens again you will not accept her back as that would be treating you like dirt.
It's easy to say you wo't take someone back until it happens to you, you may feel guilty and maybe some of it was your fault, but now you both agree to try again it is only if it happens again and you take her back that people will see you as a fool, but they will pity you more than laugh at you.
 
Love makes you do stupid things. Everyone follows their heart regardless of what people say and if they don't, they are usually unhappy.

Basically, if he made this decision and doesn't care what people think, then he truly loves his wife.

People do judge others for forgiving their partners but they don't realize the things they have done for love or what they thought was love. We ALL do things that our peers don't approve of when it comes to "love" and love.

The stigma of The Unfaithfull Spouse Is Something decided on An Individual Basi dude,if The humiliation isn't something You Mind,Stick it out,But remember,NO ONE Will Trully Respect a Man OR a woman For taking a Cheater back,freinds Aren't As Forgiving as husbands And Wives Are.

The real issue here is that you need to worry more about yourself than what other people think.

People will say all kinds of things, but they are not there, in the middle of the actual relationship.

Take care of yourself and your wife and move on from there.

I admire a man who can receive his wife back on the assumption that she is sincere and can be trusted. As far as other people and their gossip they are like guilty but not caught...yet.

I would insist on marriage counseling because something is wrong not so much with her or with you, but with the marriage. If she refuses, there would be a serious question in my mind as to her repentance.

I really doubt that in this day and age that there are any but a few who even care. Unfortunate that may be. If you do find out, try to find the source and simply say, "At least we are trying which is more than for many other couples."
