...a spiritual book? The Bible even says that it will be foolishness to those that look at it from a physical point of view.

That's exactly how I feel about it. Since they don't understand it and don't want to, why don't they just leave it alone? It's because Satan has told them to try to bury it.

Why do you assume not believing is the same as not understanding?

The Bible is essentially taking advantage of your pride and vanity, "other people don't understand this book, but you do because your special and you have something they don't." Yet you're the ones that call us arrogant.

Does that mean you have to leave this section?

Or are you one of those people who believes he has a monopoly on understanding of spiritual things, therefore those that disagree with you are wrong?

I believe many atheists don't have a problem with people reading a spiritual book if they would apply it to their lives and not try to make it rules of this world.

There are those who want to see everything according to how that spiritual books reads. So, it makes sense for those who do not understand spiritual things to educate themselves on as much as possible for when they encounter those who do, who push those beliefs on them.

Know your opponent is the best way to put it.

If theists understand spiritual things how come they have so much trouble explaining things when we ask? How come they can never seem to come to an agreement on anything? Their answers are always all over the place, as if they're just making it up as they go.

To be frank, people have all kinds of ways to define their spirituality, and even those definitions don't match everyone across the board...

or please, what awe-striking knowledge about spirituality do you posses that anyonelse doesn't already know....
