...angiogram/plasti in future? A friend is having her carotid artery cleared. Does if follow that she will need to watch for coronary artery disease. Since the are both caused by "Atherosclerosis" why would one be affected and not the other?? Thanks
 
if she is having that done, she already has coronary artery disease.
atherosclerosis is a symptom, not a diagnosis or disease.
suggest your friend read "NO More Heart Disease" by Dr. Louis Ignarro, he won a Nobel Prize for medicine for his work in this area.
