If a T-Mobile Razr V3 quadband has a AT&T sim card in it (working fine)

does this mean it's an unlocked phone? I'm heading out of the country in a few hours and my friend loned me her T-Mobile V3 Quadband phone for use over in the Bahamas. She's not sure if the phone is unlocked, but she's used it in many other countries using pre-paid sim cards. It currently has a AT&T card in it from there trip from Dubai (where it worked fine). I believe this means the phone is unlocked.. Am I correct in assuming this?? QUICK responses are most appreciated!!
