...sense of humor? A lot of Americans say that they don't understand the English humor. Do the English feel the same way towards Americans or do they actually understand it laugh at our jokes and sarcasm? I'm curious.
Great answers. By the way, I am not from the UK or Ireland as it says so below my question. I just realized that I was in the UK and Ireland Yahoo Answers after I posted the question. I'm from the US.
 
I'd say, from personal experience. We get the American sense of humor because we share a common language, and as a result a lot of American stuff is shown over here because of that.

If you take film for example, there are loads of American films shown at the cinema. There has been many comedies. You've got all sorts of t.v shows as well. Whereas we can't afford to produce as many films etc. I find American stuff quite funny at times, but I personally prefer our humor.
