superman in gotham, no doubt. he's superman. you really think the joker's acid squirting flower or the riddler's little games are going to phase him? probably not so much. he'd use his hearing or whatever, find them, flick them with his pinky, and wait for the boys in blue to clean up the mess.

batman would do OK in metropolis...just not nearly as good as superman.
