If DEI equipment was soooooo bad, how the heck did Michael Waltrip pick up 4 wins??

You cant convince me that he is a great driver...is this just another excuse by Jr nation to explain why Jr isnt the all time winningest driver or what? At least tell me how Mikey won some races.
I think DEI had the best equipment around from 01-05
Dale Jr smiled at me. If you do not remember when Michael won races I can tell you have bought into the media hype and have only been watching NASCAR within the past 5 years
Dale Jr = 11 wins minus restrictor plates trego. And almost half of his wins came down to pit strategy and fuel strategy. He is not the second coming
yeah tregosteve thats why michael has just been tearing it up at daytona and talledega since being let go at dei isnt it. not!!
 
DEI's equipment is that bad. Michael waltrip racing just makes DEI look good. how is 4 wins an accomplishment? and DEI's equipment really is that bad. just ask DW.

Jr. made DEI look way better than it is. Michael Waltrip with 4 wins, Regan Smith with 0, Mark Martin with 0 (while he's there), Truex with only 1 friggin win. Menard with 0 friggin wins. Or is just a coincidence that last year junior couldn't do crap and this year he's 2nd?
 
At the time, DEI was the team to beat on superspeedways.

All 4 races won by Mikey were on superspeedways, Daytona and Talladega.
 
Why would anyone want to convince you that he is a great driver? We all have our own beliefs and we don't need excuses. Nobody said he should be the winningest driver. At DEI, perhaps Michael had his equipment, and Jr. had his equipment, and the teams were just "different". Mikey's not a bad driver, but not the best either. Timing, equipment, state of mind, opportunity, strategy, etc. all had an effect on his wins.
