If flying is not a right, why don't the liberals who oppose thorough

screening walk/drive/train/boat?
tonal, well, too bad. Either obey the laws, or wait weeks to get to your destination. That, or allow some Taliban on your plane with explosives. I'm sure you will not make it to your destination, with a Taliban strapped with explosives on the plane.
"Freedom of travel is a right, and nothing authorizes the federal government to tell some Americans that they may not fly on a plane."

Please cite where flying is a "right." As with driving, flying is a privilege, not a right.

Freedom of travel is a right, and nothing authorizes the federal government to tell some Americans that they may not fly on a plane.

The notion that you must waive one fundamental right in order to exercise another is moronic.

I don't need to cite anything. Please tell me what part of the constitution authorizes the federal government to deny innocent people the right to travel by the means they choose. By your logic, any law the government chooses to pass can be justified simply by saying "X is a privilege, not a right." That is asinine.

The US Supreme court has held that freedom to travel is a fundamental right and by legal construction the means to travel (including flying). One cannot legally be deprived of a fundamental right without due process... The TSA's attitude, you must waive your Forth Amendment rights in order to exercise your right to travel is blatantly unconstitutional, and it is just a matter of time before the courts step in.

Additionally the courts have not granted the US Government authority to enforce this right, that authority is vested in the states... The TSA itself is unconstitutional!

In protesting TSA, there is a National Opt Out day (November 24th).
Instead of people flying, find another way to travel.

One of the positive outlooks about the new groping procedures is that it gives a person an excuse not to fly and visit the in-laws for the holidays.
