If I buy a phone from another retailer on Ebay, do I have to renew my Verizon

contract? I am bummed that Verizon has eliminated their unlimited data plan. I want to keep my unlimited plan as long as I can. Obviously this means I can't renew my contract with them or use their upgrades on phones. If I buy a Verizon compatible phone on ebay or from a friend, such as an iphone, and have them hook it up at Verizon, does that renew my contract automatically, or can I continue on my currenbt contract? Thanks!

Well you could always ASK Verizon or check out their website but from my experience, yes they will change your contract plan.
