if i buy an unlocked iphone can i put my rogers pay as you go sim card in it?

and? will it work? i want an iphone! and i can buy it unlocked on ebay brand new so how do i hook it up even if i have to pay whatever it takes
 
Most companies internet do not work with unlockied phones so if you are getting an IPHONE that is unlocked you are really wasting your money.
