If I buy the iPod Touch what are the pros and cons of the internet usage?

I want to buy one, but I'm afraid that the internet will be lacking. How much can you do? Can you use email and websites like Facebook or Gamespot? I do a lot of searching online. Is Google usable?
I just don't want buyers remorse. I have only tried one for a few minutes and didn't get to acess the internet. If you love it, tell why. If you are disappointed, go ahead and vent.

cant view vids and you will end up not using it at all because you have to be in a wifi hot spot and most wifi spots require a password :( i have a ipod touch but i only use it when im on myspace mobile so ya hope this helped.
