If I get a degree in International relations would it be easy to travel with?

I love politics and things of that nature but my dream is to live abroad and I didn't know if International relations would be a good degree for myself seeing that I do not want to stay in USA all of my life and would like to study abroad if possible. I had posted this earlier in the higher education section but it doesn't seem like many questions are being answered there so I thought I should post it here also.
