I am planning on entering the Air Guard in the near future for a variety of reasons (I love my community, country, and like the benefits, and just really want to experience it) But since the Air Force isn't accepting prior service, does that mean I could never switch to active duty.
I'm not even sure i''ll ever want to, but I might. I can't go active right now because my husband is in the Army National Guard. He doesn't like the Army's deployment schedule, so he doesn't want to go active. I'm not sure I would either, but I would like to have the Option.
So If I go Guard, does that mean no active duty?
