If i have a HD-monitor and i hook up my PS3 to it, will i be able to watch blu-ray?

i have a 25in. standard tv and its hooked up with my PS3.
i also have a HD-monitor, will i be able to watch blu-ray quality on the monitor if i get the box or connector for it?

Of course, Blu-Ray movies will play on any connection, as for getting the HD quality, as long as you use HDMI, DVI, or component, you will be able to get good image quality, HDMI and DVI are your best bet though because component does degrade the video quality a tiny bit and does not have the copy protection thing (forgot what it was called), therefore limiting the video quality even more
