If I have a jailbroken Iphone can i upgrade it to the newest IOS4 and just lose

my jailbreak but nothing else? I have an Iphone 3G. Current version 3.1.2. (Jailbroken) but i dont mind losing the Jailbreak. Its overrated.

So can i just plug my iphone into my pc and open itunes and download and install the latest Version without breaking anything? and or losing my music, etc? Thanks
No multitask? will that ever be an option for 3G? or only the 4G? Thanks
 
You'll only lose the jailbreak and the unlock (if dependent on jailbreak). You'll lose any third party apps or customizations spawned from the jailbreak.

You'll still have your music and any original genuine apps.

To download and install IOS4 you need the latest iTunes 9.2 installation.

If you have a 3G iphone, I wouldn't recommend the update as there are very few added benefits (no multitask/ custom wallpaper).
 
depends on how many downloads you had!but yes you can get the newest version with out losing most of your music!i hope this helps!
