1.Hi i have an iPhone 3G and i want to jailbreak it ("not like unlock it for t-mobile like get Cyida and installer 3rd party Apps basically") I want to know will that void my warranty like say i break my iPhone and it doesn't turn back on like it's completely broken and i have the Apple care can i send it back and get a new one with out them knowing that i jailbroke it?

2.Say i do jailbreak it and the screen is crack but it does turn back on and i take it to get it repaired or get a new one with my warranty and if they see the Cyida & Installer will that kill my warranty or it doesn't matter weather you jailbreak or do i have to unjailbreak it in order to for my warranty to work?

P.S- yes i still have my contract with AT@T and yes i have the apple care and whole 9yrads
how would i relock my iPhone or put it back to factory settings

yes itll void.... ONLY IF THEY CAN FIGURE OUT THAT U JAILBROKE IT ;) haha... i brought my broken jailbroken ipod to the apple store and they said... did u jailbreak it, i lied n said no... they said alright and gave me a new one haha

i think if you take it to the store you purchased it and they try to turn it on and it dont work ( like if its still under warrenty) at all, you will get store credit

You definitely void your warranty.

There is a way to factory reset your phone prior to sending it back for warranty. Google it and you will find the answer.

They are real jerks about it all, but honestly, hundreds of thousands of iphone users have jail-broken their device. (including me) Make sure you get rid of what you can before you'd send something back, but as far as my apple care plan, I was told I'd have to go to an apple store, and they usually would hand you a new iphone if the old one was cracked or something similar.

If they discover you're phone was Jail-broken your warranty will be VOID. Same goes with an iPod Touch.
