if i lost 30 pounds, would it make a visual difference?

i am at 155....i went up instead of down in weight.
oh..and i'm 18.

anyway, my doctor and i devised a plan for me to lose 30 pounds by april which is awesome.

but will it make a visual difference? like, will i look as though i've lost weight?
also, will any of this weight loss show around my face/butt? lol..
