If I switch phones on Telus, will my plan have to change? New phone bought privately?

I am on the five friends three year plan that is up in April and I am going to buy a blackberry PRIVATELY. Will my plan have to change because it is now a blackberry?
 
No change needed as long as the 'Berry is originally from TELUS.
