If I transfer purchases from my iPad to new iTunes, will I loose the data...

...within the apps? My old computer died and I got a new one but unfortunately I don't have a back up. The problem is that I have files and apps (with data in them) that I want to keep on my iPad. However, when I sync the iPad to my new computer it says that it will erase all previous data (which I don't want it to do).

I know that you can "transfer purchases" from iPad to computer, but what that delete the data within the apps?
