because the sex which has it more difficulty obtaining casual sex, has to put in more effort to get it is more likely to pay for it.

does that explain the demand?

I think you have a point. For females if they do opt to have one it is easy but for men it is difficult. IF this be the point I think you are correct.

If I woman wants to get sex she just has to walk into a bar and make eye contact with blokes and wait.

If a man wants sex he has to approach and he will be knocked back a good few times until a woman says yes.

That is why a stud has kudos - because it is hard to do that.
That is why a girl who puts out is a slag - because it's easy for them to do.

Prosititution is the oldest profession known to man. I don't know if that is true, but I heard it once and it makes sense.
In Europe, it is a legal profession. You go there, the girls have certificutes hanging up on the wall to show they are disease free. It is a profession and they makes good money.
Men like sex, when they want it, where they want it, and with who they want it with. This is a perfect match for prositution.
Humans are naturally sexual. To deny this sexual urge is denying your instinct. (Yes, Even my ex-wife was strange enough to deny this urge.) Maybe that is why she is my ex-wife.

Prostitutes have less to do with single men wanting casual sex than they do with men who are in relationships and want to fulfill some need that they are too afraid to ask their sigother to do or that their spouse refuses to do. Prostitutes are also a way for a man to have sex and have zero contact, follow up or attachment. it is more of a stress or other type of reliever.
