And It is He and his beliefs that we follow and worship, (and not those that created christianity 40 years later) why are we all not practicing Jews? (p.s. I know this is an old argument but looking for some new perspectives)

You could ask this very same question about Buddha: If Gautama Buddha believed, in lived and breathed a Hindu life, why are not Buddhists all practicing Hindus?

^^^^ Buddah rejected hinduism

I know it's crazy. Most people will follow what ever is around them.

Christianity is based on Jesus rising from the dead to save people from their sins. So He couldn't have worshipped His resurrected form, or wanted to. He also told Peter to build His church.

Very short answer

When Jesus gathered food & healed the sick on the sabbath as well as not washing before eating, he was violating Jewish law. His justifications to the high priests when questioned about these practices put him outside Jewish laws.

On a practical note, the success of Jesus & Christianity was that it offered a monotheistic religion to the masses of pagans who could not, by birth, be accepted into the Jewish faith.

So, in other words, Jesus was a non-observant Jew and his gentile followers could not be Jewish even if they wished to be.

That is why none of you are practicing Jews

Well, technically Jesus was a Jew because his mother was a Jew. Christianity developed because of Jesus. So Jesus was sort of a renegade Jew... he had new ideas, he was feared. Christianity and Judaism are different because of the New Testament. The NT is based on Christ's teachings, and Christians believe that Christ is the son of God, whereas Jews do not. He is Christianity.
