This really makes no sense to me.
Enlighten me please
Should they not all be known as jews then ?

You mean you cannot understand a simple definition?!!

CHRISTIAN – A follower or believer in Jesus.

in early Christianity it was merely a Jewish sect but some of the apostles wanted it to be a religion in it's own right and established the Christian church. This is why some of the disciples are played down, like James. Really it is antisemitism and the Catholic church saying St. Peter is the most important because he wanted to move the church away from Judaism. The fact the Jesus was Jewish is almost shameful to Christians who consider themselves better, more righteous than Jews. This is also why Jesus' brothers were wiped out of history by the Vatican.

The Father gave us a new name.

Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Act 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Act 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

God changed Their people so They needed to change the name.

answer: the moment Jesus was declared divine and worshiped, Christianity became an incompatible religion with Judaism. The Jewish Messiah will be human and NOT worshiped. It's actually insulting to claim that Christians are Jews or "complete Jews"

Because christians wanted to take over the Jewish faith.

Some of the people at the time didnt like the way Judaism was being run, and some people disagreed with paganism at the time. So, a group of people decided to make a new religion based on old ideas. Christianity is a mixture belief, based on Judaism, Buddhism, Zorostrianism, Mithraism and Paganism.

Jesus came as both the Jewish Messiah and Savior for all humanity.

The New Testament teaches that one need not become a Jew to become a follower of Jesus. I'd encourage you to read the book of Acts to follow the early history of Christianity and see how this worked out.

Christian is the term disbelievers called the followers of Christ.
It was an insult.

Eph2:16 That he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross. First, the cross makes peace between Jew and Gentile; and second, the blood of the cross cleanses both before God, and makes peace between them and God.

He isn't Jewish, he is a Judean from the Tribe of Judah, meaning he's a Israelite. Theres a big difference. In Acts 11:26 the followers of Jesus were called Christians. And Jews are converts to the Judean faith Judaism. There were no Jews when Jesus was alive only Judeans.

He challenged the Jewish leaders over and over.
He told them they were white washed tombs.
He told them they would not go into the Kingdom and tried to prevent others from going there.
He challenged their laws when he stopped the stoning of a woman caught in adultery.
He challenged their laws concerning easy divorce. He said Moses made concessions because of the hardness of their hearts. You know Moses is said to have spoken to God face to face unlike most prophets.
Moses and Elijah showed up in a vision and said Listen to Him referring to Jesus.
Jesus said you say it is a sin for a man to commit adultery but I say it is a sin for a man to even look at a woman in lust.
If those who followed Jesus were meant to be Jewish , they would have been following another more conservative rabbi or teacher .
Jesus was a Jewish person who challenged Jewish religious leaders of his time. This is why Christians are not considered Jewish.

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

God has HIs reasons for doing things the way He has seen fit; Good and Holy reasons for His glory!
