If Liberals think the "greedy rich" are the problem with the economy, why not

complain about Hollywood? That's right, they show up on Celebrity Jeopardy once every 10 years and donate their winnings to those worth while charities!
No Michelob, I'm happy to see that there's 1 liberal out there who complains about Hollywood. Feeling all warm and fuzzy inside now! By the way, I'm by no means rich. Unless the definition of rich came way down below 100K.

Avail.....why are we taxed based on the income level we make. Obviously the more made, somebody makes the determination that success should be penalized. Being a traditional conservative, but labled as a neo-con, you might be able to understand how misunderstandings can cloud the partisan mind. As a religous right thinker, kudos for the kind remarks and can only hope to aspire to acheive the save "evolved" thinking as you. Thanks for your explanation skills! You have that special charm that only both your mommies could have passed to you.

Does it strike anybody as two-faced that despite having higher incomes in general the "liberal" democrats only give about one third as much to charity as do conservatives? And how about the fact that if you add the fortunes of all the Democrat politcos and all the Repubs the Dems come out on top by almost two to one! Check it out yourself, we're being had and eating it up like candy!

i do . i dont complain about people that work for their money
i complain about pay rates per job and how careless people can be towards others
im poor but you better believe if i see someone starving i would do what i can to help

Mostly because we see celebrities assuaging their guilt at being filthy rich by either doing or donating to charity. And not just on Celebrity Jeopardy. These days they are very public and visible while doing this. So we forgive them their riches for that reason and also because they are just so darn entertaining with their escapades.

I wasn't aware that it was Hollywood, not Clinton and a veto-proof Republican Congress, that killed Glass-Steagall in 1999. That's what allowed those fraudulently rated 'exotics' to be passed throughout and to contaminate the banking AND speculative investment market pool. And the rating firms, not Hollywood, played along in the game.

Ok bub, when someone says "the greedy rich" they aren't speaking about everyone who is successful or wealthy.
Do you understand simple logic?

when liberals are talking about the class of people you mentioned, they are talking about a particular group of rich, that use their wealth to directly influence government policy and drive in an opposite direction than the will and majority vote dictates, through bribery, campaign contributions, and other little things Exxon, and big pharma companies use to skirt our laws, and majority will.

maybe you should spend more time trying to research some fact and try to understand what people are actually trying to say, instead of doing nothing but making up straw-man arguments that you think makes you look intelligent.
I know its hard, when you are talk-radio-educated, but try.

Hollywood ... lots of rich movie stars have this weird guilt trip about their money, so they promote liberal government to take the money away from rich people. It's odd.

Hate of western civilization also comes from this type of weird guilt trip. "It must be the white nations' fault!"

Also, this guilt trip is what supports the myth of global warming.

I don't feel guilty. I feel grateful.

Hollywood is a country into it's own. That is union run and entertainment rules. If you don't like the wages - then don't go to the movies or buy videos. It's that simple.

The greedy rich is not who we talk to, THE GREEDY RICH COULD NOT VOTE FOR ANYTHING AND HAVE IT PASS!

IT IS THE POOR PPL THAT FALL FOR THE IDEOLOGY OF THE CORRUPT, DIVISIVE NONSENSE THAT IF BIG BUSINESS & SMALL BUSINESS MAN HAVE LOWER TAXES THAT THEY WILL HIRE MORE PPL.

THEY ONLY HIRE PPL WHEN THEIR IS A DEMAND FOR SOMETHING AND NOT ONE PERSON MORE!

It's not easy for them to control people who can take care of themselves. They need Hollywood to get the word out . I guess the poor have a lot of tv viewing spare time so don't worry. Movie stars are home free.
