If Nostradamus is right, what can mankind do to prevent the end of the world?

For me, it seems like nothing can be done even if he is right (which is also doubtful). Don't all the Nostradamus movies want to frighten people rather than helping them? What do you think?

If Nostradamus is right the world has already ended, he gave the year in which Jesus would return and re-establish the rule of heaven after the defeat of the third as being two years after 1997. Unless you believe that Jesus has already returned and that there has been no evil, strife, suffering, warfare in the world for the last 9 years then Nostradamus stands refuted.
