If prophecy exists, doesn't that mean that everything was planned before we were...

...born? How can we have freewill if prophecy exists? Peter, with all his "freewill" couldnt for the life of him "NOT deny Jesus". (against his "freewill" he denied Jesus) and Jesus even told him that he would deny him, three times!. But peter even said to Jesus, to his face, "I "will" die with you".

So how can we have freewill is prophecy exists?

How did peter have freewill? where was the freewill? I dont see it!! I dont see peter having freewill of any kind!

Can someone show me, PLEASE, where Peter had "freewill" on this??

I think that Peter made these choices with his freewill. But Who knows because the bible is full of stories that easily misinterpreted and seem contradictory. We know we have free will as we make decisions and choices everyday.

Lets put it this way, if we have a five year old seat at a table and we put a bowl of ice cream and a bowl of vegetables in front of him. what bowl is he going to eat? He has free will but we know what decision he will make, same goes with God. He knows everything about us, he knows our heart, mind, body, and soul. Basically hes the best psychologist ever! lol
So yes we have free will but he knows which way we will go when given oppertunities, hes just that good!
I feel you ask this because of a failure in life, you should praise God when he takes something away or does something against you because when he takes away he always replaces it with something better, we just don't know what its going to be

Just because God has the power to look ahead to see what choices we will make (and even account for them in His plans) doesn't mean we don't have the ability to make them.

Peter simply forgot about his promise not to deny Jesus and when the time came he did, Jesus simply knew this would happen.

If you take the bible literally, you will be damned to a lifetime of ignorance.

If you take the bible metaphoricaly, you might have a chance at some wisdom.

The bible WAS written by man, and although it can be a wonderful creation with which man has produced, it is still written by man. Apparently man lives with sin, hence, a book written by man can never be guaranteed as 100% pure...that is, if you choose to believe in the bible (catch 22).

If anything, use the lord to speak to you through the bible while reading it. If you listen, you can hear him. He will direct your attention. No need to get into it over this one detail, instead, read between the lines, in order to discover the overall message.

**To actually answer your question...Prophecy may only apply to certain aspects of any story, therefore some, all, or very few choices may have already been decided.
