...prophecy? In Eze 4:6 it says ....and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
So the 2300 day prophecy in Daniel becomes years and there is 360 days in a jewish year.
If the decree to restore Jerusalem was in 457BC so add 7 weeks or 49 years takes you to the restoration of Jerusalem in 408BC. add 62 weeks or 434 years takes you to Christs baptism in 27AD. Add one week or 7 days/years takes you to the stoning of Stephen and the gospel going to the Gentiles in 34AD. So that left 1810 years of the 2300 years which takes you to 1844AD

So what happened in 1844??????
-- Interesting statement DougLawr, can you please explain your comment

Nothing of note happened in 1844.

The key aspects of Daniel's prophecies for the end times are still under seal.

In Daniel 7 the heavenly sanctuary, or temple, is described. God is sitting on his throne surrounded by thousands of angels. Books are opened and the judgment begins.
In Daniel 8 the heavenly sanctuary is mentioned again. It shall be cleansed after the 2300 days (years). I understand this to mean that the judgment mentioned about in chapter 7 began in 1844. This should correspond to the Jewish Day of Atonement, which by Jews is understood to be a day of judgment.
Of course, this requires a bit more study than this, but this is the conclusion I find most trustworthy

In 1844, Jesus moved from His work in the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place in the sanctuary in Heaven. This was the time when He began to cleanse the sanctuary from the sins of the world, just like the High Priest did once a year in Jewish times on the Day of Atonement. In 1844, with the beginning of this ministration in the Most Holy Place, the final judgment of all people began.

And, since the Day of Atonement occurred on October 22 in the year 1844, that is the day when this began.

Very good question!
