i just got one... it is the same color as gumby but is faded. i need to get it repainted. it only has a 305 small block, and minimal rust on the truck. i want to make it more like a hot rod, i have no clue what this look is called but i know it looks good on muscle cars but how about a truck like this?

do you just buy a bigger tire size in the back and a smaller size in the front? i want it to be a hot rod looking car, it's my first car im 16 and will be working on it to bring it back to life. any suggestions on what else to do with it?
 
If you wanted a car you should have bought a car..BUT.. dont worry about paint.. it doesnt help anything but your ego... look into a larger motor since it is considered a classic you can get a 454 without emission controls.. a basic super durable motor that will do anything you want it to do.. for the ride that your looking for either cheap out and remove springs or get an air ride system.. a GOOD project truck is gonna run yeah about 10k or more..
