...their short time on earth unhappy? By your own theory isn't this the only time they ever have a chance to derive even a little bit of happiness out of existence? After all isn't that what they're being punished for? the "pleasure" they experienced in their lives? If you think about it, considering how much you expect them to be tortured, it's positively cruel of you not to encourage them to have as fun as humanly possible while they're here. Surely god didn't create them for the sole purpose of being brutalized and miserable for eternity? I mean if he did, you have to agree he's kind of an A-hole.
BTW Thank you in advance for not trying to explain how christians don't oppress gays. That argument is ludicrous You have fought vigilantly against legislation that would end discrimination against them finding a job, that would end discrimination against them finding a home to live in, that wouldn't make it illegal for them to have sex with each other in the privacy of their own homes. Sorry, but if you don't intend to discriminate then you wouldn't support laws that uphold discrimination, and if you don't support these measures yourself then you wouldn't attend the institutions that do.
(ex. I'm not a Republican, therefore I do not attend the Republican fundraisers, if I did then I wouldn't have an honest foundation to deny that I support Republican politics)
