If you say "thats gay" do you find it offencive?

I mean, i dont, (im straight) but, i still think it's rather rude. Theres so many other words out there and they have to use "gay" Do you think thats offencive or mean?
in my title i meant if SOMEONE says thats gay...

Use some other word,like odd or bad,not gay. That's not a nice thing to say.

Never bothered me, but I only use the gay word to describe myself or someone else that is gay! Gay does not equal uncool, dumb or in my generation retarded! Respect others by using it in its proper context!

Yes, I find it very rude, because usually when I hear someone say "that's so gay" they mean "that's so stupid", thus "gay" = "stupid" which obviously is not true.
 
I don't think it's right to say. Although in today's society it is sometime hard not to use the word because it is spoken so freely and used in many different ways, especial amongst teenagers.

I would personally like to try to get away from using that phrase because I don't have a problem with gay people and don't want to offend them.

I think of it like saying "Thats so *someone's name*" if you know what i mean. (I'm basing this statement off of a comercial I don't know if anyone here has ever seen it but i agree with the message they are trying to get across)

im a lesbian but i dont fint that offencive becuase i love saying NO that is NOT gay YOU the gay one :D
and then they get al freaked out
 
I honestly have no problem, although im bi. But I do still use the term without feeling bad.
 
i just think about this.. i'm gay and my friends were use to say that all the time.. that was before i came out to them. but now the say it they look at me like and give me a wierd look like there saying.. I'm sorry... I dont really might it. i know what they mean by it. i dont think it is.
 
it dont really bug me cause i recently came out and am still used to saying it...kinda irritating...but what I like to try to do to bug my straight friends is instead of saying "thats gay" say "thats so straight"....kinda bugs em its pretty funny
 
I don't think it's rude. I think it just shows the person's lack of intelligence.

Like when my sister said, "This TV Show is gay!" I mean, come on. Does she honestly think that TV shows have a sexual orientation?
