I would be happy. I know it's unlikely I'll ever be like him, as a writer, but being on the right track is sure a compliment.
 
Appreciative that they even answered. He or she said, in a cryptic way, "go for it, you have the basic talent." Waddaya want, to be declared a literary genius from the git go ?
