I'm talking about people who know each other very well, like a pair of siblings or a couple. Also, raised voices and yelling, not just debate or polite disagreement.
Would you just try to concentrate on your plate and hope they cool it, or tell them politely that if they want to continue please do so outside since they are ruining the atmosphere of your home for the other guests?
Is it rude to ask them to stop or else leave if they keep sniping at each other? You did invite them, but when is the cutoff point for unreasonable behaviour that gets a person verbally warned or kicked out of someone else's house?
