I've never had a birthday party apart from my 7th. I don't get along with my parents. I go to a boys only school, I'm not allowed to go out. I've never spoken to a teenage girl in person (apart from the odd relative). I don't have a console (probably the first thing not to have XD), I hardly watch TV cause I'm over worked by school cause I have a mental disorder (which I'll come back to you on) and I go to one of the best schools in the country (please don't mistake me for being arrogant). This lead to me being deprived of sleep (I get 4-7 hours of sleep a night). I have Asperger's Syndrome... People think I'm weird and I've always been bullied and treated as an inferior which soon lead to me believing everyone else is superior e.g I trust other people's judgement at times. Oh and I'm generally unlucky. All this has lead to me being depressed for the last 9 years... Bit like Dominos isn't it?
Is anyone close to my situation? And while your at it any advice would be appreciated.

How are you deprived ?
You have a home, you have parents, no doubt you get fed, kept warm and are educated
You've only had one birthday party- that's one more than I've ever had
IF you were depressed you would be unwell, not at school and generally apathetic
Maybe take a reality check and be grateful for what you do have..

Then there was this guy who had no arms or legs and whose face was mangled. Yet, he continues to carry on with a sense of humor. My point is, there is always someone else out there who has it worse than you. We can only strive to endeavor to overcome our hardships in life. However, we should all remember how good we really have it compared to those less fortunate.

I went into hiding and been there, I have, for the last 30 years. When 900 years you reach, look as good you will not, Hmm?

If you're feeling depressed, you should look up some telephone numbers in your area. For example, Kids Help Phone in Canada is a toll free number where you can talk to people about your problems in a non judgemental environment. I'm not sure what they would have in your area. There are also lots of forums to talk about things with other people who are going through the same thing as you. You need to talk to your parents/family members/teachers/counselor/someone you trust. Both asperger's and depression shouldn't be dealt with alone. Seeing a therapist or just having someone to talk to can help you in social situations and tough times. You need to talk to your parents and work out a way that you can have more freedoms (good behaviour, good grades, trying hard in your day to day tasks).

Lots of people have strict parents, or a similar situation to yours, so you're definitely not alone.
