LOL what?

Someone told you to not quit fast when pregnant?

Whoever told you that is a moron, you shouldn't have been smoking period. I feel sorry for your child.

It's never too late to stop smoking. If you quit now you and your baby will do just fine. Make sure your OB knows you were smoking and are quitting/have quit if they didn't know already. Congrats on quitting, you're doing the best thing for your baby!

Whoever told you that was just feeding you crap. It's ashame that you fell for it because no Dr would have said that. I quit as soon as I found out and I am fine. You should quit as soon as possible. Very selfish of you.

You should never have been smoking while pregnant to begin with! Whoever told you not to stop cold turkey was just helping to give you an excuse to not stop! I can't believe you've gone 32 weeks and haven't stopped. Even if you were going to stop gradually, you should have quit long before 32 weeks. My advice is to stop now. Women who smoke while they're pregnant disgust me. I've never smoked so of course I don't know what it's like to have to quit but I just could not see doing that. I wouldn't even take a tiny little sip of an alcoholic drink just to taste it when my husband wanted me to taste his home brew. Probably wouldn't have hurt anything but didn't want to take the risk. You need to quit now and never start up again. There's nothing worse than a baby who smells like ciggarette smoke. You can be as careful as possible, but the baby and all his/her things WILL smell like smoke. So gross...

Go see a Dr.
I'm pretty sure it would hurt the baby more from the nicotine vs. the stress, but that's definatly a question you need to ask your Dr. on the next visit.
If you DON'T quit smoking though, you set you baby up for a future of cancers and they'll be born addicted to nicotine. Your child will have to overcome addiction alongside of being new to the world.
I used to try to justify it.... I decided to quit before I ended up getting pregnant.
*I'm honestly not trying to be self righteous, just genuienly helpful*

No it won't hurt the baby. Stop smoking right away. Cold turkey. Every day you keep smoking is one more day that you are poisoning the baby. So the sooner the better.
