im dating a bengali man but he says he cant meet my parents because of his culture

is that true? im mexican/american and im dating a man whos bengali but born in america i asked him to meet my parents because they like to know who im dating but he says he wont meet them because in his culture the only reason he would meet them is if he were to marry me (we've only been dating for about 2 months) and i cant meet his cause of his culture . is that true? i need a good answer frm a person whos a muslim and from bengali prefferibly please

I'm not Bengali or a muslim, but the whole thing sounds very suspect to me. If his religion really prevented him from meeting your parents, then it' s likely he shouldn't even be dating you! If his parents wouldn't approve of you if you are of a different race or religion,then it's easier for him to avoid if he says he shouldn't meet yours. I will be very interested to see what any muslims or Bengali's answer to this. I say, he's not being honest with you. It's a cop out.
