Okay.... So I am a talented writer! I have prestige among my classmates, and my teachers give bonus marks on the material I write for class. I have won a writing contest - it's called the 'Martyn Godfrey' contest I think - and have been semi-published in a magazine when I was twelve (I don't really count it as being 'published'). I've also been a reporter for an Aboriginal Bi-Weekly newspaper (Though, it wasn't a super popular newspaper. And it was a summer job....) .
But the reason why I'm here on Yahoo! Answers is because I really think if I ain't published by the age of 17, I ain't gonna' write a Bestseller!! I have high standards for my writing potential, and I plan to blossom into a great author someday, maybe have a column in National Geographic.....
ANYWAYS!! I ramble..... Okay, so in the movie 'Almost Famous', the protagonist William Miller is TOURING with a major band and WRITING for FRIGIN' 'Rolling Stone'!! And this is basically a true story right?? Because Cameron Crowe - the director - based the movie on his adolescence!!

So, the reason I don't think I can suceed in future publishment is because I haven't gotten published yet, or awarded for that matter,
All I need is your feedback, perhaps things I can do to improve... Any authors out there or teachers, PLEASE help! Could you reccommend me to some Canadian Youth Writing Contests, or anything!! I can give you some of my writing if you'd like, but I don't think it's par to what Ned Vizzini could write at fifteen, or Cameron Crowe.....

But anyways, any help is good help ;)

Alright, very few people are published at 15, just doesn't happen a lot, so don't worry.
The best way to get published as a kid is to send your writing to a company that puts out books exclusively by young writers, there are plenty of books out there comprised of short stories by teenagers. Find one of the publishers of those books and submit your work.
