Im having trouble applying ring-tones for telus?

I purchased these ringtones off the internet and gave them all the correct information about my phone but i doesn't give me the option to apply as ringtone it just says

new
switch storage device
details
rename
delete
mark
mark all
categories
assign to category
sound setup
and view free space

but when i click details it says apply is possible please please help
 
TELUS phone software does NOT allow any customer-loaded tones to actually work as ringtones! You can put them on your phone but they will not work. There are software modifications for most phones to over-ride this but you may make your phone totally unusable if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing. Warranty will NOT cover this. If you want a new tone then you have to buy it from TELUS.
