Charging systems that have lost the magnetic "charge" they once held. Loose connections and bad wiring. Corroded contacts. Bad magneto-I think triumph was still using them in the 70's. British bikes have never had reliable charging systems to start with (no pun intended). So even new parts for these old beauties may not make the systems great.
