I'm interested in foreclosed homes...do i contact a regular realtor for this?

I've been living in my apartment for going on 4 years and I'm now ready to look into buying something. I'm interested in foreclosed homes because you can get a deal on a nice home...any advice? What steps do I need to take? I've been looking them up on the internet but they don't give you exact address, aren't many pictures, etc. Any tips would be appreciated.
